Lady Gaga opens up to the suffering of rheumatoid arthritis

Lady Gaga, the queen of the Super Bowl and the conqueror of the Twitter trolls that have shamed the body, has been open about her health problems in the past. In November, she instagramed about infrared saunas, a pain relief method she swears by, but didn’t get too specific about   exactly   what was behind the chronic pain she was treating. A few years ago, he even shared that he had to stop due to a hip injury, according to an interview he did with   Women’s Wear Daily  .

Now, the star is revealing for the first time in an interview with Arthritis magazine   that the source of his health problems is actually rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Although the full article does not appear online, the cover quotes her saying: “Hip pain can’t stop me!” And “I fought RA pain with my passion.” Inspiring, right?

I was so overwhelmed by empathy, confessions and personal stories of chronic pain in response to my previous post that I thought what the hell. Maybe I should share some of my personal remedies that I have acquired in the last five years. The body and condition of each person is different. You should consult with Dr., but what the hell are we going! When my body suffers a spasm, one thing I find really helps is the infrared sauna. I have invested in one. They come in the form of a large box, as well as in the form of a low coffin and even some as electric blankets! You can also search your community for an infrared sauna room or a homeopathic center that has one. I combine this treatment with the marley silver emergency blankets (shown in the photo) that catch in the heat and are very cheap, Reusable and effective for detoxification and weight loss. In order not to overheat my system and cause more inflammation, I follow this with a VERY cold bath, an ice bath (if you can stand it, it is worth it) or the most environmentally friendly way is to keep many reusable cold packs in the freezer. (Or frozen peas ‘n carrots’!) And wrap them around the body in all areas of pain. I hope this helps some of you, helps me to continue doing my passion, my work and the things I love even in the days when I feel I can’t get out of bed. I love you and thanks for all your positive messages. I hope this helps some of you, helps me to continue doing my passion, my work and the things I love even in the days when I feel I can’t get out of bed. I love you and thanks for all your positive messages. I hope this helps some of you, helps me to continue doing my passion, my work and the things I love even in the days when I feel I can’t get out of bed. I love you and thanks for all your positive messages.

If you’re not familiar, RA disease causes your immune system to attack your own body’s tissue, according to the Mayo Clinic. As of now, it looks like genetics may play a role in some cases, but beyond that, the specific causes of RA are not known. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) also notes that new cases of the disease are two to three times more prevalent in women than in men, making it especially important for women to be aware of the disease and its signs. (FYI, here’s why autoimmune diseases are on the rise.)

The symptoms of RA and other autoimmune diseases can be tough to spot, so it’s important to be informed. When they start to feel sick, “people think they ate something wrong or they have a virus or they’re exercising too hard,” rheumatologist Scott Baumgartner, M.D., an assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of Washington in Spokane, told us in The Symptoms You Should Never Ignore. For RA, the main thing to watch out for is stiffness and soreness in more than one joint, especially both hands and feet when you first wake up and at night.

Given  that  not many celebrities who have spoken about autoimmune diseases other than Selena Gomez, who spoke about his experience with lupus, fans of Gaga who are also dealing with this group of diseases are understandably excited that she is throwing light on this. One tweeted: “Thank you very much for telling your story. I have osteo and psoriatic arthritis. You are a true angel! ”

It seems that we can always count on Gaga to talk about the things that matter most to her, including her health, which is one of the many reasons we love her. (PS: Do you remember the time she closed Piers Morgan about the rape? Yes, that was pretty amazing too.)
